Located on the Gardesana road in San Carlo, between the villages of Bogliaco and Villa, the imposing barracks were built at the end of the nineteenth century and are made up of two buildings, separated by a large courtyard. The section facing the street, with an L-shaped plan, is of great artistic interest for its Art Nouveau-inspired litocemento decorations, clearly visible from the state road, and its large, vaulted entrance hall with Tuscan columns made from gray stone. Originally intended for use as barracks, the complex is no longer used and is awaiting restoration and repurposing.
